VIENNA, AUSTRIA — The youth and confirmation candidates of the Pfarrgemeinde Herz Jesu parish, located at Töllergasse 11 in Vienna’s 1210 district, are set to host a special Youth Mass centered around community, faith, and global solidarity.
Scheduled for a 9:30 AM start, the celebration will center on the moving theme “Under God’s Protection.”
Faith in Action: Supporting a Kindergarten in the Philippines
This year’s Youth Mass goes beyond a local gathering by placing a vital international parish initiative at the heart of the celebration. The liturgy and community focus will be dedicated to supporting a kindergarten project in the remote province of Antique, Philippines.
By spotlighting this initiative, the parish youth aim to raise awareness and vital funds to provide early childhood education and a safe learning environment for children half a world away.
A Culinary Fellowship: The “Agape”
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the community is invited to gather for an Agape (a traditional fellowship gathering) with a unique cultural twist.
The Our Lady of Manaoag Group and the Divine Mercy group will be hosting the post-Mass event, serving an array of authentic, typical Filipino foods. This cultural exchange offers parishioners a taste of traditional Filipino hospitality and cuisine while uniting the community for a charitable cause.
Where Your Donations Go: All proceeds collected during the Youth Mass collection, alongside the donations raised during the Filipino Agape, will be directly channeled to the Antique Kindergarten Project.
